1928 - 1937 A.D.

Kutlehar crowned a new Raja, the third within four months, Shri Raja Saheb Shri Brijmohan Palji Saheb Bahadur.

Raja Brijmohan Pal continued in the footsteps of his illustrious predecessors and did many things to improve the quality of life for the people, he was a nominated member in the Punjab Government’s Ministry of Local self Government, he ordered construction of serais, roads, schools and dispensaries at his personal expense. Lord Irwin, the Viceroy of India, wrote to the Raja acknowledging his hard work and thanked him for his contributions.

In 1934 on the 4th of July, the Raja was blessed with an son, the birth brought joy to Kutlehar and its people, bands played in all directions, gun salutes were fired from the Palace, shakkar distributed to each and every house in Kutlehar and every married woman in Kutlehar was given a dupatta and Rupee 1 from the Rani, the people and the biradari offered Nazars to the Raja, Rani and the young Tikka, thousands were invited in 1935 for the Lugru celebration and again in 1937 for the Kan Bal ceremony, the birth and the festivities that followed took more importance as Rani Rattan Dei’s first three children, a boy born in 1917, a daughter in 1921 and a son in 1926 had passed away within minutes of birth and the yearning for an heir was immense.
