Princess Omkareshwari was born at Allahabad to Maharajkuwrani Saheba Shrimati Rama Rajya Laxmi and Maharaj Saheb Shri Ranti Dev Singh Ju Deo of Nagod and studied at Scindia School, Gwalior and took lessons in the Kathak and Manipuri dances and learnt to play the sitar.
In 1993 she was married to the Prince Rupendra and in 1995, she was blessed with a girl, named Durgeshwari and in 1996, her second child, a boy, named Shivendra, was born.
The Princess helps the Prince with his various projects and alongwith has established a finishing school in Chandigarh for children and young girls as the Princess believes that the parents of today do not have the time for inculcating social graces in their children, which are one of the most, if not the most important thing in life, she also does social work for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society and is involved with many organizations and takes active interest in the schooling of her children.
